A Qantas flight from Canberra to Perth was forced to make an emergency diversion to Adelaide after passengers and crew reported a strong mechanical smell in the cabin. Paramedics met the aircraft on the tarmac to assess more than a dozen people who reported feeling unwell or experiencing a metallic taste.
